How would you react if I told you that each of our brains has a tumor that is growing larger by the day? That the tumor is slowly turning us into hunchbacked zombies and eating a large portion of our intelligent organ called the brain. Isn't it terrifying? You might wonder who is to blame for our current state. The question should not be who, but rather what.
TikTok, the thing that caused us this misfortune, is living within us like a parasite. What makes it a parasite? It has evolved into the most damaging social media platform, feeding on dopamine receptors and was designed to hijack and shorten attention spans.
TikTok, more than any other social media app, spreads data and contaminates our brain. On a personal level, seeing random dancing teenagers on that little box in front of the camera and ring light with no awareness of their surroundings has made me realize that the end of the world is very close.
TikTok was able to accomplish in one year what major hotshot channels and production companies such as MTV, Warner Bros., and HBO could not even imagine two decades ago. It has taken control of two-thirds of society and the entertainment platform, and has rendered us psychotic.
Whom TikTok commercially aims for ?
TikTok has to be one of the most narcissistic, IQ draining, emotionally and mentally manipulative apps in the world, and that's just my opinion.
The fact that the app is marketed to the most impressionable minds out there, kids and teenagers, is, in my opinion, the most serious flaw.
Why go through the rigors and risks of watching child pornography on the dark web when there's a free app to satisfy your sick abominable cravings? That last sentence, as creepy as it is, is the terrifying truth about TikTok.
TikTok's primary goal is to sexualize teenagers and children — CHILDREN!
Tik Tok and Mindset
TikTok gives teenagers the negative mindset that the only way they can be famous is to be extremely sexual and narcissistic. This breeds a bunch of irresponsible youths which then become the role model for the really young ones.
Normally, people got famous due to talent, now, due to tik tok, people can now get famous by being really vulgar and shaking their hips.
Millions of people, mostly children, have become addicted to learning a new dance, lip-sync, or prank, and those who excel at dramatizing this fervent, collective improvisation are rewarded with likes, comments, and shares.
TikTok , a dopamine dealer
Dr. Julie Albright, a professor and author, claims that we are essentially drugging ourselves. You'll get taken away in this delightful dopamine mood. You'll keep watching because it is hypnotic, she continued.
These beautiful 15–30 second videos grab our attention right away and release dopamine in the area of the brain where pleasure is felt. This makes us want to scroll further. Dopamine: What Is It, You Might Ask? Dopamine, a hormone that is released when we are joyful, is to blame for this. Dopamine is released, for instance, when we eat a food we are seeking, engage in enjoyable activity, etc.
Social media services like TikTok are making us addicted to them by holding our dopamine captive. Tik Tok wants us to think that they provide us with high-quality meals because dopamine is good food for the brain. Although the meal may be tasty, it only fills us up for a short while before we start to need more. TikTok carries out their plan by using this pattern to their advantage. the addictive loop continues as we search for more of their dopamine-stimulating videos.
Forbes has referred to TikTok as "Digital Cracked Cocaine" and us as "Generation Goldfish." because our memories will eventually be no longer than 15 seconds, just like TikTok videos.
TikTok , the slot machine
Did you ever visit a casino? I didn't, but I've watched enough movies with casinos in them. I know the general outline of what occurs there. What precisely occurs there? gambling, naturally. When we hear the word "casino," the first thing we think of is gambling. We are all aware that gambling is a game that is done for cash, but it goes farther than that. Because a slot machine is what they are, when people gamble, they occasionally win and occasionally lose. People become more ambitious when playing slots after winning or losing, which is how gambling works.
By employing a similar method, TikTok is likewise encouraging us to watch their videos with increasing zeal. We discover items that we like and dislike at different times. However, that doesn't stop us from watching those short videos; on the contrary, it motivates us to seek out more. TikTok qualifies as a slot machine due to this. Like slot machines, TikTok is also addicting.
We should develop a plan that transforms civilization in a positive way rather than giving up on this generation. Everyday, both we and our way of life change. Make the transition positive. Even though there may not be many individuals who are aware of the terrible effects TikTok has on society, there are still enough of us to turn the goldfish generation back into human beings.
